I’m Modenie and thank you for visiting our page. About two years ago, God placed in my heart to begin a Facebook page formerly known as Haitian Applied Behavior for Analysis (HABA). I was passionate to post and write about behavior analysis until I fell in love with mental health. I stopped working as a Registered Behavior Technician and found myself becoming a Mental Health Counselor to better provide for my children while studying to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analysis.
To my surprise, I love both fields and that’s how Mental Health Advocate for Haitians (MHAH) took place. I wanted to give back to my Haitian community and help those that need information about behavioral and mental health issues. There is a lack of information for families, practitioners, and organizations within the black community. This website is a place where everyone can find resources. I have linked many practitioners with other agencies and will do the same with MHAH. I also want to share videos and other materials that can be helpful to our community both in English and the Haitian Creole language.
